“It is a dream come true”

Víctor Valdés has said that renewing his contract with FCB until 2014 “is like a dream come true” and that he is “very happy and very satisfied” to extend his stay at the club.
Whenever Henry came near the Barça goal in the Paris final, Valdés produced a save. Whenever Drogba
tried the same in this year’s semi final first and second legs, the same man stood in the
Ivorian’s way.
“It makes me proud”
Víctor Valdés has been a decisive member of the Barça squad
in recent years, and was rewarded in the best possible way for this on Tuesday by seeing his
contract extended until 2014. “I am very happy and very satisfied” he said. “For
me, it is an honour to be able to defend the Barça colours every day”.
Hungry for more
“It is like a dream come true, among things, to know I can retire at the club. The most
important thing is the years that spend here, along with my colleagues, and trying to achieve big
things, like we did this season. The most important thing is to repeat titles. I am happy to stay
for many more years with the club I love, the club I have inside my heart” he said.
