Bojan determined to keep on learning

Barca’s young striker, who notched up his first goal of the pre-season against Spurs on Friday night, is excited about the new campaign and pleased with Guardiola’s commitment to the club’s youngsters, himself included.
The first 45 minutes of the pre-season served to demonstrate that Bojan Krkic has certainly not
lost any of his goal scoring instincts and speaking to the media earlier today he insisted:
“I’ll be fighting to keep on learning my trade and I’m full of hope and
excitement at the prospect of this season”.
Guardiola counting on him
Bojan made it clear that her feels very much a part of Guardiola’s plans: “I
didn’t play too much last season, but the boss has assured me that he’s counting on me
this year and he wants me to stay at the club”. The fact that Guardiola is so clearly
committed to bringing through the club’s youngsters is a further motivation for Bojan who
reckons: “after you’ve won so much with home grown players and you start a new season
with even more youngsters, it really makes you see that you have plenty of opportunities
here”.
Too early to draw conclusions
There are 11 players in the squad currently in
England who’ve come through the club’s youth teams and Bojan feels they all
“performed at a very high level”, whilst accepting: “it’s still too early
in the pre-season to make any real conclusions, we’ve only been together for five days and
there are still players missing”.
Praise for Eto’o and Ibrahimovic
The press were naturally keen to get some reaction to the club’s transfer dealings over
the summer and Bojan reflected on the departure of Eto’o - “he helped me from my first
day” and the arrival of Ibrahimovic, who he reckons “is a real quality player and
physically very strong”.
