Internationals train on Monday

The five players that took part in the Confederations Cup, plus Andrés Iniesta, who has made a full recovery from injury, trained on Monday evening for the first time after their summer holidays.
Puyol, Piqué, Alves, Sergio Busquets and Xavi had their first training session of the 2009/10
season on Monday. The five had permission to miss the London training camp to compensate for their
summer international commitments.
Iniesta also present
Andrés Iniesta has made a complete recovery from his thigh injury but
was unable to take a full part in training due to the effects of a stomach bug. However, he
exercised with the others and was able to work with the football.
After the preliminary jogging, he separated off to work alone while the others did some ball
control work and warm-up exercises. He later rejoined the group. Club doctor Ricard Pruna told us
he may be available for the friendly match against Chivas in San Francisco on 9th August.
Four more for training
A further four players - Maxwell, Henry, Márquez and Hleb (who missed the final training
sessions in London because of an ankle knock) – also went through their paces separately from
the main group.
