Sylvinho to play for City

The former Barça defender has signed for one season with Manchester City. This will be his second experience of England after previously being at Arsenal (1999/01).
Manchester City have signed left back Sylvinho, age 35 years, for a one-year period following the
expiry of the Brazilian’s contract with FC Barcelona on June 30.
Two Champions Leagues and three Ligas
Sylvio Mendes has been at the club since, and
has performed exceptionally the whole time. His a player that can always be depended on to do his
job well, and has proven a true professional. Running up and down the Barça wing, he has clocked up
a number of tiles, including two Champions League, three Spanish Leagues and one Copa del Rey.
Before coming to Catalonia, Sylvinho made his debut in his home country with Corintians
(1994-99), and then switched to the Premier League and Arsenal (1999/01). His first Spanish league
club was Celta Vigo (2001/04).
