Meeting the squad

Dmytro Chygrinskiy was keen to not lose the chance of watching his new FC Barcelona team-mates train on Monday in Camp Nou after passing his medical with club.
The Ukrainian defender still had to put pen-to-paper on his five-year contract with the Blaugrana,
but was keen to see the squad in action for the first time as they prepared for the opening league
game against Sporting Gijón.
Saying hello
Walking on to the pitch in the stadium and then going into the changing rooms Chygrinskiy was
able to say hello to Pep Guardiola’s squad and enjoy being a part of things as one of them
for the first time. Last Friday he was able to see the players close up as he made his last
appearance for Shakhtar Donetsk in the European Super Cup Final against Barça.
Touré trains
Guardiola oversaw the ultimate training session before Barça begin the defence of the title
and he will have been buoyed by the return to action of Touré Yaya. The midfielder missed
Sunday’s training as he stayed in the changing rooms to undergo some treatment.
