Pedro added the Champions League to his tally of competitions in which he has scored having already netted in the Spanish Super Cup and the European Super Cup Finals this term.
The 22-year-old was promoted to Pep Guardiola's first-team squad in the summer after a season of
moving up and down from Barça Atlètic and he has revelled in his new life at the top.
Opening goal
Despite playing a number of games in the 2008/09 campaign for Barça the
forward, whose full name is Pedro Rodríguez Ledesma, was unable to score and that is why he was
celebrating back in August in San Mamés. In the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup against Athletic
Club, Pedro scored and a week later the Catalan club claimed the trophy with victory in Camp Nou.
New contract and hero in Monaco
In the middle of August Pedro penned a new deal at Camp Nou and days
later became a hero as he scored the winning goal in the European Super Cup Final against Shakhtar
Donetsk in Monaco.
Second of the evening
On Tuesday this week he went one better as he scored his first goal in the Champions League
after coming off the bench. Pedro netted the second goal to put the result against Dynamo Kiev
beyond doubt
