Barça draw Cultural Leonesa in the cup

FC Barcelona will begin their defence of the Copa del Rey against Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa. The Blaugrana were drawn against the Segunda B outfit for the two legged tie in the last 32 of the competition.
The games, which will see the first leg played on October 28 and the second on November 10, were
decided at the draw by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) in Madrid. Barça have been drawn
against the side from León and the Segunda B team will enjoy the test that playing the league
leaders will bring.
Two legs
Josep Guardiola’s team will travel to León at the end of October
for the first leg in the Reina de León stadium before the return game takes place at Camp Nou a
fortnight later.
Half a century ago
The last time the two teams met was over 50 years ago in the league. Barcelona won 4-0 at
home in the 1955-56 campaign before picking up three more points i a 0-1 away win.
This will be the first time that the two clubs have been played together in the Copa del Rey.
Cultural Leonesa reached the last 32 after beating Lemona in the first round, Estepona in the next
phase and then Ontinyent.
