Eight games before next break
Edgar Fornós
On their return from the International break, Barca face 4 league games, 2 Champions League and 2 Spanish Cup matches before the next break scheduled for mid-November.
There are tough trips to Valencia and Pamplona in the league, with a trip to Russia in the
Champions and the opening of their Spanish Cup defence in Leon.
Two at home and two away games
The trip to Valencia next week to play Unai Emery's somewhat
inconsistent team is the first away game, with a trip to the Reino de Navarra to confront Camacho's
combative Osasuna at the start of November. Meanwhile, newly promoted Zaragoza and the early
surprise package Mallorca are due at the Nou Camp.
Rubin Kazan rivals in Champions
The two Champions League games see Barca take on Rubin Kazan home and away, with the Russians
visiting the Nou Camp on 20 October and Barca flying out to Russia for the game on 4 November.
Cup defence starts
Barca's Spanish Cup campaign begins on 28 October with a trip to third division Cultural
Leonesa, with the return leg set for 10 November, the last game before the next international
break.
Success around international breaks
Under Josep Guardiola's stewardship, Barca have never lost immediately before or after an
international break . Last season they recorded 3 draws and 2 wins, whilst this year they've beaten
Sporting 3-0 before the last break, defeated Getafe 0-2 on their return and won against Almeria 1-0
immediately before this present break.
