Gai, Dos Santos and Soriano make first team debuts
Roger Bogunyà
Three players will always remember the Reino de Leon as a special place. Gai (starting line-up), Dos Santos and Jonathan Soriano, who came on in the second half, made their competitive first team debuts here.
Gai Assulin: He played the first 59 minutes and was then
replaced by Abidal. He positioned himself on the left wing and in the first half was a major
problem for the home team. He showed a couple of examples of his skill – a back heel and a
shot from the edge of the box.
Jonathan Dos Santos: Following on from a fine performance in
the Joan Gamper, he replaced Keita for the final 13 minutes on the left of midfield. He took part
in 14 actions and completed eight passes. He was also active in defence, blocking three attacks and
taking back possession twice.
Jonathan Soriano: Despite playing just nine minutes after
replacing Jeffren, he made his mark in attack and had a shot on goal. He took up the left wing
position and drifted in towards the centre.
