Johan Cruyff succeeds Pere Gratacós but in fact has already coached the team on six occasions over
the past three years.
A ceremony will be held in the Palau de Congressos in Barcelona on Monday 9th November at
12.30 to officially launch the agreement.
From Barça to Catalonia
Johan Cruyff first came to Catalonia in 1973 when Barça signed him from Ajax. He
made 227 appearances for the Club and scored 83 goals. In 1988 he came back as manager and led the
team to the most successful period in the Club’s history, wining four consecutive league
titles and the European Cup. Since leaving the job in 1996 Cruyff has not managed any other team.
