Henry and Alves return
David Puig
The return of Henry and Alves was one of the positive notes to be taken from the game in Kazan - Henry came on for Keita on 82 minutes, whilst the Brazilian played the full 90 minutes.
Thierry Henry has been out of action since he picked up his injury in the France-Austria game on
14th October and his last game for Barca was against Malaga in the team's 0-2 win. In the 10
minutes or so he was on the pitch against Kazan, he came close to scoring with one effort that
could have given Barca the win,
Two chances
Henry had a couple of chances – on 88 minutes he couldn't quite connect with a far post
cross from Alves and then a minute later, Messi put him through for a much clearer opportunity that
he put wide.
Alves gets through 90 minutes
Dani Alves' remarkable recovery from the injury he picked up against
Rubin in Barcelona, meant that he was able to play the full 90 minutes on Wednesday night. Alves
sent over 13 crosses, made 8 tackles and completed 83 of the 109 passes he attempted. With Henry and
Alves back in the squad, Guardiola is onnly without the injured Milito for Saturday's league game
against Mallorca.
