Place in last 16 in Barca's own hands
Roger Bogunyà
Although they currently lie third in Group F, Barca's progress into the next stage of the Champions League is still in their own hands. Six or four points from the next two games will guarantee a place in the knock out stage, but even2 or 3 could be
Group F - the Group of Champions- is proving to be the tightest of the Champions League, with
everything still to play for in the two games each team still has left to play:
If Barca take six points......
definitely qualify and unless Rubin also win both their remaining games, take top spot.
If Barca take four points...
definitely qualify and 55% chance of topping group, depending on other results. If three of
the points come from beating Inter, chances of winning the group grow to 66%
If Barca take three points...
qualification depends on the other results in the group:
► Top finish possible if they beat Inter and Rubin and Dynamo draw and Inter and Rubin
also draw in the final game.
► 47% chance of finishing second or third.
► Second place could be decided on goal difference if Barca beat
Inter and lose to Dynamo and Dynamo and Rubin lose, then Rubin lose to Milan, it'll be down to the
goal difference between Dynamo and Barca.
If Barca collect just two points from the two games...
Still a chance to qualify, as long as Rubin and Dynamo draw in the next game and Inter beat
Rubin in the final game.
If Barca get just one or no points at all........
they are out of this year's Champions League.
