Steelers and TP Mazembe, possible rivals in World Club Cup

With the qualification this weekend of the Pohang Steelers from South Korea and Tout Puissant Mazembe from Congo,all the Confederations representatives are now known for the FIFA World Club Cup.
The draw for the competition, to be held in Abu Dhabi in December, will be held on Thursday 12
November and the South Korean and Congo representatives are the last two teams to qualify.
Last two qualifiers
Pohang Steelers took the Asian Championship by beating Al Ittihad from Saudi Arabia
4-1 on aggregate, whilst Tout Puissant Mazembe beat Heartland from Nigeria 1-0 to win the African
Championship.
Draw on Thursday
The fulll list of teams in the draw is: FC Barcelona, el Estudiantes de la Plata (Argentina),
Atlante (Mexico), Auckland City (New Zealand), Al-Ahli (Arab Emirates), Pohang Steelers (South
Korea) and TP Mazembe (Congo).
Barca straight into semis
Both FC Barcelona and Estudiantes de la Plata will be given a bye for the first round and go
straight into the semi finals. There will be a play off on December 9th between Al.Alhi and
Auckland with the winners going into the quarter finals alongside Atlante, Pohang Steelers and TP
Mazembe. The quarter finals will be played on 12th December, the semi finals on 16th and the final
on 19th December.
