Abidal: “This was the best job of the year so far”

After his recovery from the flu, the French defender put in an excellent performance against Inter and was clearly well pleased when he spoke to the press after the game.

For Abidal: “we played really well and won – the players who came in can really help , we have a very talented bunch of players”.

Eric Abidal was undoubtedly one of the surprises of the game against Inter as he made a great recovery from his flu and the muscle injury that appeared to have ruled him out of contention, to put in perhaps his best performance of the season so far.

As far as Abidal is concerned, his recovery is down to: “eating chicken breast and rice with olive oil – I've got a body that recovers very quickly “, he quipped to Barca TV after the game.

Looking forward to the Madrid game, Abidal commented: “we'll have to play well to win the game – I'm sure it'll be a great game”.

Pedro:
