Ibra comes on and scores
Roger Bogunyà
Zlatan Ibrahimovic didn't need any time at all to stamp himself on the game – straight on and he scored what proved to be the winning goal. This was his first Barca-Madrid game and what a way to start!
“I've seen a lot of Barca-Madrid games and they are great games with great players on the
pitch. I think it's probably the most spectacular game in the world”, Ibrahimovic stated
after the game and now he can be proud of scoring on his first appearance in a derby game, a goal
that gave his team a great win and the leadership of La Liga.
Zlatan admitted that his goal : “Was really important, not just for me, but also for
the team and all the fans”.
Minute 51: Ibrahimovic comes on
Ibra, alongside Chygrinskiy and Maxwell was a potential débutante on the
bench and Guardiola decided to introduce him six minutes into the second half in place of Henry.
The boss made clear his thinking: “I had a card up my sleeve with him on the bench - Ibra
always comes up with something different. I'd kept him as a sub because I wasn't sure he'd got over
his injury”.
Minute 55: Ibrahimovic scores
Ibra got a great ovation when he came on, the Nou Camp fans really
believe in him and he needed just 4 minutes to open the scoring(something he's done against Getafe,
Athlètico Madrid, Racing and Màlaga so far this season). The goal was his first and indeed only
shot on goal and Ibra commented: “it was a great centre from Alves and all I had to do was
strike it home: it was with my left foot, but it went in”.
Injury doubts
Zlatan Ibrahimovic was told this morning that he'd be on the bench, as doubts continued as to
the risks involved in him turning out: “I'm a lot better. I spoke to the boss before the game
and decided it would be a risk if I started as the game was bound to played at a great pace and if
I aggravated my injury, I could be out for another month or two. I'm really happy to be back, even
though I'm not yet 100%”.

Messi and Ronaldo from the start
Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were both pre-match doubts. The Argentinean was a constant thorn in
the side of the Madrid defence and forced yellows for Arbeola and Lass. He also had a great chance
at the end of the game, only for Casillas to bat his shot away for a corner.
Ronaldo also had a great chance on 19 minutes, when Valdes made a great save to keep him out.
The Portuguese star was subbed on 65 minutes by Benzema.
