Xavi: "We have it in our hands"
Roger Bogunyà
Xavi Hernández has not lost any of his desire to help FC Barcelona win trophies and hopes that the team can add the FIFA Club World Cup to their incredible haul at the weekend.
"We really want to make history and win six cups, that is the most anyone can win in one season,"
he explained. "There is only a short way to go. Now it is in our hands and if we can dominate this
game then we have every chance."
Going behind
Speaking to the assembled media at the team hotel in Abu Dhabi, Xavi
looked back on the game in midweek against Atlante. "It was not good that we started by conceding
and had to come back to win the game," he continued. "We have to be ready to play against teams
that are more direct than we are."
Hard working
Against Estudiantes the Catalan playmaker believes that Barça will be on top form.
"We know that they are very competitive and battle hard," he stated. "They have very good technical
players who have a lot of class."
Heavy legs
After a long calendar year Xavi admitted that Barça's players are slightly tired,
but that they are ready to play in such an important game. "Yes, our legs are bit heavy, but the
desire and excitement to win will see us forget that," he said.
