Bojan Krkic believes that FC Barcelona's players are well aware of what is at stake in the final of the FIFA World Club Cup at the weekend and that they are all ready for the final against Estudiantes.
The young striker trained with the squad members that did not appear against Atlante in midweek on
the pitch in Abu Dhabi's Army Stadium. "We are very conscious of what we can achieve and we all
want to win, but also know what can happen if we lose," Krkic told reporters. It is a very
important game for everyone, the players, the club and the fans."
No relaxing
Atlante caused Barça a number of problems to prove that the tournament is far from easy and
Krkic recognised that lessons had been learnt. "Maybe that was a wake-up call for us," he
continued. "Teams that are not internationally well known can mean that other teams may
subconsciously relax slightly. Fortunately, we have an ambitious team with players that never do
that. That is why we are where we are."
Strong support
Barça had a loud support in the opening game against Atlante in the Zayed Stadium and that
surprised Krkic,. "We never thought that so many people would be behind us," he stated. "It is
proof that Barça is a huge club and that we can make history. We know that final will be very
difficult because the Argentinian teams are always good."
