Pedro: “My favourite goal was in Monaco”
Míriam Nadal / Roger Bogunyà
Pedro was delighted to have maintained his record of scoring in every competition that he has played in for Barça when he netted in the FIFA World Club Cup semi final in midweek.
"The one in Monaco was the most important one that I have scored
although the one this week does means that we can make history," he told Barça TV and
www.fcbarcelona.cat. No other player has ever scored in six different tournaments in the same year
and Pedro is delighted. "I am very pleased to have done that and grateful to all my team-mates."
Other efforts
Looking back over the past 12 months Pedro singled out his goal against
Almería as one of his best, but was also pleased with his strike against Inter. "The one in the
Champions League against Inter was vital and in such an important game," he added.
Next trophy
Pedro has become the first player to score in six different
competitions with goals in the last five months and he is surprised himself. "It is a complicated
thing to do," he admitted. "Nobody has done it before and it is something that one can dream but
never think seriously that you could do. The World Club Cup is something that we now want, but I
was not obsessed with scoring in it. In the end I have though."
Win it all again
The day after securing a place in the final of the tournament and
ensuring he secured his scoring record, Pedro stated: "I want to win it all again. If we can win
this final then it will have been an historic year."
