Jeffren: "Let’s hope I can keep this up"
David Saura (special correspondent) / Anna Segura
With three goals already this preseason, Jeffren is the team’s joint top goal scorer with his friend Pedro.
Against the Seattle Sounders the commitment and effort of Barça’s young academy players was
once again on show. Messi grabbed a brace and Jeffren and Pedro picked up one each. They have now
scored in three games on the spin to become the leading goal scorers in the team.
Good run
After the game Jeffren said he was delighted to have scored and hopes to “keep it
up” in upcoming games. He is also great friends with Pedro, so is pleased the latter has
scored as well.
The future
There has been speculation that Jeffren might go out on loan, and he says his future is in
Guardiola’s hands. “I’m trying to make the most of the game time I get to have
the chance to stay,” he said. “I’m not happy with my game because there are still
some things not going right."
