The Club party who have made the trip to Zurich expressed their satisfaction at the presence of the three Barça players in the final of the Ballon D’Or award, with a number agreeing: “this is a great day for FC Barcelona”.
There was a large party of Directors, ex-coaches and ex-players on the first flight out to Zurich
for the Award ceremony this afternoon and Barça TV and www.fcbarcelona.cat caught up with them
before they left.
President Rosell thanks 30 years of hard work
President Sandro Rosell expressed the general feeling that: “this is undoubtedly a
great day for FC Barcelona. It’s one of those occasions that you know it will be difficult to
repeat. Thanks to the hard work and time given by so many people over the last 30 years, this day
has come and we are now seeing the result of all their efforts”.
Rosell has no preferences for the winner: “the Club is happy that whoever wins, Barça
will be victorious”, and added “I’m sure that all three of them will be pleased
whoever wins. They are three great teammates, as they show out on the pitch”.
Despite the upbeat mood at the Club, Sr Rosell also had words for Angel Pedraza: “this
is a great day for the club, but it’s bitter sweet with the news of Angel Pedraza’s
death”.
Luis Suárez
“This is very satisfying –I was tired of no other Spanish player winning
the award and especially as it will be. Like me, a Barça player”.
“It’s a great satisfaction because I’ll be in good company, I’ll be
meeting up with people who who I’ve shared a lot with”.

friends, coaches, teammates, fans…..”

“I would stress, even above their footballing skills, their
humility and hard work”.

Pere Gratacós
“This is a success, not just for two or three players, but also for a
sporting model which started many years ago with Oriol Tort and Joan Martínez Vilaseca and has been
very well continued by the other co-ordinators”.

we’ll always stick by it”.

through the Club”.

have had important times with in the past”.
