Xavi, the best playmaker in the world
www.fcbarcelona.cat
The IFFHS has named Xavi as the best playmaker in the world 2010. It’s the third year on the run that Xavi has been named in the IFFHS poll held amongst journalists from 85 countries.
With 223 points, Xavi Hernández held onto the title given by the IFFHS as the best playmaker in the
world. This time he won the vote ahead of Andres Iniesta with 148 points, whilst Leo Messi came
fourth with 111 points, behind Wesley Sneijder.
Winner three times on the run
Last year, Xavi beat Messi and Kaka and in 2008 he was voted best
playmaker ahead of Cristiano and Messi, but this year’s vote gave him more votes than he
achieved in either of the last two.
