Pep Guardiola’s birthday is a good moment to stop and reflect on the records his teams have smashed since he took over.
Guardiola’s success goes beyond the many titles the team have won - 8 of the 10 they’ve

record).

►Most consecutive away wins – 13 games between 21st September 2008 and
11th January 2009, the team won 13 times in successive away games: 8 in the Spanish League
(Sporting de Gijon, Espanyol, Athletic Club, Malaga, Recreativo, Seville, Villarreal and Osasuna),
3 the Champions League (Shakhtar, Basle and Sporting Clube) and two in the Spanish Cup (Benidorm

►Longest run of successive away wins on the road in the Spanish League: 9

1979/80.
