Chilly evening training
Edgar Fornós / Anna Segura
The squad braved the chilly conditions at the Ciutat Esportiva this evening for the penultimate training session before the game against Racing on Saturday night. Guardiola was able to count on a full squad except for the injured Alves and Jeffren.
The second half of the season gets underway at eight o’clock on Saturday night with Barça
leading the La Liga table by 4 clear points from Real Madrid and this evening Guardiola’s
focus was very much on the Racing game, after Thursday’s warm down session following the
Betis defeat.
Cold snap
With Catalonia suffering a cold snap, the players were well wrapped up
for this evening’s session as the temperatures plummeted in the night air at the Ciutat
Esportiva in Sant Joan Despí.
Alves and Jeffren missing
Pep Guardiola was able to work with all his available 18 first team
squad players, with Jeffren, injured in Thursday’s training, and Alves, who limped off during
last weekend’s win against Malaga, working apart from the rest of the group on their
respective recoveries.
