Bojan and Alves back to training
Marc Guillén / Vanessa Forns
Barça are fully focused on their cup tie with Almeria. Bojan trained today after missing Monday’s session with a stomach bug though he failed to finish the session, whilst Alves was able to train normally.
The first team started training today at 11.00 in the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper with an eye on
Wednesday’s Copa del Rey semi final first leg against Almeria at the Camp Nou. They were also
joined by Barça B’s
Marc Bartra and Martín Montoya.
Bojan fails to finish session
Pinto was back on Monday after a
stomach bug kept him out of the side that faced Racing and today it was
Bojan Krkic who also returned after suffering the same problem as the goalkeeper,
though the young sstriker was
still not feeling well enough to complete the session.
Alves back to normal
Dani Alves is still recovering from the first degree rupture of tissue in his
right femoral biceps, but although on Monday he only joined in with a few of the group exercises,
today he
was able to train at the same rate as his colleagues.
Treatment for Puyol and Jeffren
Meanwhile,
Puyol and Jeffren are still recovering from their respective injuries. Jeffren has
a groin strain and Puyol has injured tendons in his left knee.
Congratulations for Xavi
Before starting the session in freezing temperatures,
Xavi Hernández was warmly congratulated by coach Josep Guardiola on occasion of
his
31st birthday. The pair spoke at length before the rest of the squad heartily
applauded the midfielder.
