Dani Alves has recovered from his muscle injury and has been included in the squad that faces Hercules on Saturday. Bojan is out with stomach bug and Barça B’s Nolito and Fontàs are also named.
19 players will travel south to Alicante for the game with Hercules on Saturday night at 20.00.
Dani Alves has been given the medical all-clear and is picked for the first time since the Malaga
game, but Bojan is still having trouble with his stomach, and misses the game along with the
injured Puyol and Jeffren.
That means chances for Barça B players Nolito and Fontàs. The squad flies south from El Prat
airport at 10.50, but shortly before kick off Pep Guardiola is going to have to drop one of his
players.
Morning training
The team trained on Friday morning behind closed doors at the Ciutat
Esportiva Joan Gamper. All 19 players that have been named for the Hercules match were involved.
Bojan was absent due to the aforementioned stomach problem, while Puyol and Jeffren did specific
recovery exercises in isolation from the rest of the group.
The squad
Valdés, Pinto, Alves, Adriano, Piqué, Milito, Fontàs, Abidal, Maxwell, Mascherano, Busquets, Keita,
Xavi, Iniesta, Afellay, Messi, Villa, Pedro and Nolito.
