Pep Guardiola, the man who is breaking every record around, will be staying on the Barça bench until 2012. Here we look at the different records that have been smashed since he took over.


- In 2009, the most titles in a year. 6: Copa del Rey, Liga, Champions League, Spanish Super Cup, European Super Cup and World Clubs Cup (world record).

- In 2008/09 the only club in Spain to win the treble of Copa del Rey, Liga and Champions League in the same season.

- Team with most points and goals at the halfway stage of the Liga season: 52 points and 61 goals (17 ins, one draw and one defeat) after 19 games of Liga season 2010/11.

-Team with most points in Liga history: 99 points in Liga season 2009/10 (record for major European leagues).

- Most wins in the Liga: 31 wins in Liga season 2009/10, matched with Real Madrid in the same competition.

- Most away wins in a Liga season: 13 games. Ligas 2008/09 (13 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats) and 2009/10 (13 wins, 5 draws and 1 defeat, matched with Real Madrid, with 13 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats).

- Most consecutive away wins: 13 games. Between September 21, 2008 and January 11, 2009, FC Barcelona got 13 consecutive away wins in official matches. There were 8 in the Liga (Sporting Gijón, Espanyol, Athletic Club, Málaga, Recreativo, Sevilla, Villarreal and Osasuna), 3 in the Champions League (Shakhtar, Basilea and Sporting Lisbon) and 2 in the Copa del Rey (Benidorm and Atlético Madrid).

- Most consecutive away wins in the Liga: 10 games in Liga season 2010/11, when they won on the road at Racing Santander, Atlético Madrid, Athletic Bilbao, Zaragoza, Getafe, Almería, Osasuna, Espanyol, Deportivo and Hércules (on February 8, 2011, this record could still be extended).

- Best away start to the Liga: 10 consecutive wins in the Liga 2010/11 against Racing, Atlético Madrid, Athletic Bilbao, Zaragoza, Getafe, Almería, Osasuna, Espanyol, Deportivo and Hércules (on February 8, 2011, this record could still be extended).

- Team with most away goals in a Liga season: 44 goals in Liga 2008/09.

- Team with best goal difference in the Liga: +74 in Liga 2009/10.

- Most wins in a season: 45 wins in 59 official matches in the 2009/10 season.

- Unbeaten in fist half of a season: 19 games in Liga 2009/10 (15 wins and 4 draws).

- Biggest away win in Liga: UD Almería 0 - FC Barcelona 8 (20/11/2010). Equalling previous record of UD Las Palmas 0 - FC Barcelona 8 (25/10/1959)

CLUB RECORDS

- Liga with most goals scored:
2008/09, with 105 goals in 38 games. Spanish record: Real Madrid, 107 goals in Liga 1989/90.

- Longest unbeaten start to a Liga season: 21 games in Liga 2009/10 (17 wins and 4 draws) Spanish record: Real Sociedad, 32 games in Liga 1979/80.

- Most clean sheets in a season: 31 games in 2009/10 season (20 in Liga, 6 in Champions League, 1 in Spanish Super Cup and 1 in European Super Cup).
