With the last home league game of the season against Deportivo set for Sunday, Pep spoke to the media this afternoon and insisted. “with whatever team we send out, we will be competing to win, but our obsession is to win the final”.

For Guardiola, the game against Deportivo: “will help us, because whenever we do things wrong, we work to correct them and it is always better to go into the end of the season after competing well. "La obsesión es preparar bien la final"

El equipo disputará este domingo la penúltima jornada de Liga y Pep Guardiola ha comparecido en rueda de prensa para explicar cómo afrontará el Barça las dos últimas semanas de competición. Según él, "con el equipo que sea competiremos para ganar, nuestra obsesión es preparar bien la final".

En este sentido, el técnico azulgrana ha explicado la importancia que tiene el partido contra el Deportivo: "Sirve porque siempre se han hecho cosas mal que se pueden mejorar, y siempre es mejor llegar a la final habiendo competido bien". "Además, también sirve para los que han jugado menos, y también porque hay un rival y otros equipos que se juegan el descenso. Nos lo tomaremos con la máxima seriedad posible", aseguró.

Pensando en Wembley

Guardiola ha explicado los planes inminentes del Barça: "Después del partido tendremos dos días y medio de fiesta en los que no quiero ni que nos veamos. Después habrá que coger el tono y llegar lo mejor posible a Londres. Estoy convencido de que la gente llegará bien". El día 28 desea poder contar con Carles Puyol. "Estuvo tres meses parado, hizo un esfuerzo contra el Madrid y desde entonces sigue un plan personal e intentamos gestiornarlo para que pueda estar en la final. Esperamos que la próxima semana se pueda incorporar al grupo", comentó.

Haciendo un símil con la situación de 1994, en la que el Barça jugó la final de la Champions cuatro días después de ganar la Liga, el técnico no tiene dudas: "Prefiero llegar así que como lo hicimos en Atenas. Con una semana de margen de descanso hubiéramos competido mucho mejor la final, aunque aquel Milan quizá nos hubiera ganado igualmente. Por eso dimos tanta importancia a cerrar la Liga en el campo del Levante ".

Preocupado por Busquets

Sobre la posible sanción de la UEFA a Sergio Busquets, Guardiola también se ha mostrado contundente: "A Busquets le conozco desde hace mucho tiempo y cuando me dice algo me lo creo". "Esperamos que la UEFA tome la decisión, que haga su trabajo con total tranquilidad. Estamos todos preocupados; ojalá quede en lo que debe quedar y pueda jugar la final", indicó.

El entrenador ha manifestado que está de acuerdo con las palabras del madridista Sergio Ramos cuando decía que "sólo Busquets y Marcelo saben qué pasó". Y ha cerrado aquí el tema, sin querer hablar demasiado de los blancos. "Todo el mundo sabe cómo ha ido. Del Madrid ya hablamos mucho en el mes de abril. Hasta la Supercopa allí queda. Ahora ya no toca", concluyó.

Una fiesta memorable

Por otra parte, Pep Guardiola ha expresado que está muy complacido por la fiesta de celebración de la Liga en el Camp Nou, y destacó "la cantidad de niños, el civismo, los buenos parlamentos y como de bien se lo pasó la gente". Una vez más reiteró el discurso de agradecimiento a sus jugadores, que ya hizo con el micrófono en la mano: "A principio de temporada tenía dudas de cómo competirían, y era impensable hacer lo que han hecho. Estos jugadores tienen un don especial, por eso son irrepetibles".
