Pre-season approaches

For the majority of FC Barcelona's first-team players this is set to be their last week of holidays before they are due to report back for a medical check-up and the start of pre-season training.

It has been a month since the last game of the last campaign and the club has told all the stars that have not played in the World Cup Finals to report back on July 19.

Medical tests

The players will undergo a strict medical to see how their bodies have changed after a few weeks away. Weight, strength and fat levels are the main exams of the tests that the squad are put through at the start of every new season.

Training complex

Once those exams have been completed the squad will assemble on pitch number 1 at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper complex where they will begin pre-season training and be joined by several youth team stars who will make up the numbers.

First game

Barça's first team game of pre-season will take place on July 29 in Oslo, Norway against Valerenga before the squad embark on their trip to Asia.
