FC Barcelona's first team squad returned to double training sessions on Friday as preparations for the new season continue following a relatively comfortable Thursday schedule that only included an evening work-out.
Starting at 09:00 the Blaugrana stars took to the pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan
Gamper in cool conditions as the temperatures in the Catalan capital remained lower than in the
last few weeks. First team players José Manuel Pinto, Maxwell, Gabriel Milito, Adriano, Víctor
Sánchez, Seydou Keita, Aliaksandr Hleb, Bojan Krkic, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Jeffren were joined by
a large number of youth team hopefuls. Those included Oier Olazábal, Rubén Miño, Jordi Masip,
Albert Dalmau, Sergi Gómez, Armando Lozano, Marc Muniesa, Martí Riverola, Ilie Sánchez, Sergi
Roberto, Tello, Benja, Jonathan Soriano, Nolito, Cuenca, Jonathan dos Santos and Edu Oriol.
Fontás took to the field as he continues his comeback from a toe injury while Víctor Vázquez
is back in training after a muscle pull.
Familiar routine
The training session took place behind closed doors and took on a familiar look as
the players warmed up and then performed the habitual games to raise their fitness levels. The
coaching staff then laid out a gruelling fitness circuit that included technical and tactical
aspects.
