Final training session before Oslo

The players trained on Wednesday morning for the last time ahead of Thursday’s friendly in Oslo. Victor Vazquez made his first appearance on the training grounds after spending last week in the gym.

The final training session before Thursday friendly against Valerenga included Vazquez, though he exercised at a lighter rate than the rest of the group. Team captain Carles Puyol also made an appearance to greet his team-mates.

A large group

The session included 30 players - 11 from the first team including Abidal who resumed training on Monday plus 19 from the reserves. On Tuesday, Andreu Fontàs made his reappearance after recovering from a foot injury and on Wednesday it was the turn of Victor Vazquez, who spent last week in the gym. Both players took things easy and were accompanied at all times by one of the fitness coaches.

The same pattern

The session, which was led by manager Pep Guardiola and held behind closed doors, followed the same pattern as previous days, with warm-ups, ball control work, and possession exercises designed to practise defensive moves.

Travel schedule

Tomorrow, Thursday, the players will leave for Oslo at 9 am. The match will start at 7 pm and the players will return to Barcelona immediately afterwards.
