With the Super Cup now safely in the Club’s trophy cabinet, the players are heading into the final week of the pre-season. The focus now switches to the Joan Gamper Trophy and the imminent start of the league programme.
The players enjoyed a day off on Sunday after their efforts against Sevilla. But it was straight
down to business on Monday morning as they prepared for the first of two matches in the space of a
few days.
Training programme
The first training session of the week took place at 9 o’clock on Monday morning.
There’ll be another session on Tuesday morning and again on Wednesday morning at 11.30. That
evening Barca will face Milan in the Joan Gamper Trophy.
League debut
The morning after the match against Milan, the players will be able to
relax a little before the next training session at 7 o’clock Thursday evening. On Friday and
Saturday, training will take place at 9 am. On Sunday the players will have breakfast together in
the Camp Nou before heading off to the airport for the trip to Santander where they will take on
Racing in the opening match of the 2010-11 league season.
Two matches in five days
So it’s a busy start to the new season for Barça with two matches in the space of five
days. On Wednesday, the fans will get the chance to see how Barça can perform against Italian
giants AC Milan while on Sunday there’s the all-important league debut away to Racing
Santander.
