Pinto: "I am really happy"
Roger Bogunyà
Ronaldinho was delighted with the reception that he received from the FC Barcelona supporters after returning to Camp Nou with AC Milan for the Trofeo Joan Gamper game on Wednesday evening.
The Brazilian was the centre of attention before kick off when he was given the farewell that he
did not receive when leaving two years ago. “It is a just great and I am immensely
proud,” he said.
Barça won the trophy on penalties after David Villa and Fillipo Inzaghi had scored in a 1-1
draw.
Below is what some of the players had to say after the match:
Villa
“I am happy. It is important to score because it brings confidence.”
“I am very happy. I am delighted with the support I received. I did not want to let
people down. The fans gave me such warmth before I had done anything.”
“I think we have here now a very solid team. When you see it you can see that there is
a strong desire to continue winning. The people that have come in, like Adriano and myself, we want

“Gerard [Piqué] is a great central defender and it was easy to play alongside
him.”
“I spent all pre-season with the first-team and then I picked up a knock, but now I am
back and at the start I will play for Barça Atlètic although I am ready to be called upon.”
“I think Ronaldinho deserves so much because Barça were in a bad way before he
arrived.”

me and scored.”

the homage paid to him was good. It was a day that everyone enjoyed.”

he always does his best.”
