Menezes happy to bring squad to Barcelona

New Brazil boss Mano Menezes has told Barca TV that he is very satisfied with the club’s installations at the Ciutat Esportiva, which the Brazilian squad will be using until next Tuesday.
Menezes has brought his squad together to train at FC Barcelona’s training ground for the
first time since his appointment and he reckons: “it would be a dream for many Brazilian
players to be able to work at somewhere like this in Brazil, but it’s still not possible. We
have nothing as good as the facilities FC Barcelona have offered us here in Brazil”.
Not feeling the heat
Menezes commented that the climate was pretty similar to Brazil right now, so the heat
wasn’t a problem, whilst the playing surfaces at the Ciutat Esportiva, “are very good.
The grass is good quality and the right height and there are a lot of pitches available. I think we
will be able to work well here and reach the objectives we decided to set when we chose to come
here”.
Tuesday
Next Tuesday, Brazil will play a training match against Barça B (live on Barça TV at 17.00h)
and Menezes believes: “the game will be very useful for us, as we can draw conclusions as to
the work we’ve put in during the time here at Barcelona. It will be a pleasure to play
against Barca’s B team. We’ll try and put into practice the tactics we’ve been
working on and be able to see just where we are at this moment”.
