Xavi to miss Sunday’s game
www.fcbarcelona.cat
After further tests this morning, Xavi Hernadez has been ruled out of Sunday’s La Liga game against Mallorca. Xavi will continue to receive treatment and do specific training in Barcelona.
The confirmation that Xavi will miss the game came after he’d also been absent for this
morning’s training session and follows Thursday’s announcement that he was suffering
from bilateral aquiline tendinopathy and had been omitted from the Spain squad for next
week’s games against Lithuania and Scotland.
Eight appearances
Xavi Hernández has played in eight of Barça’s games so far this season, seven as a
starter and one as sub and has only missed one game -the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup in
Seville.
