David Villa should be able to play for FC Barcelona against Valencia at the weekend it was revealed by the club's medical services team after a series of tests on his injured knee on Wednesday.
The striker suffered a knock during Spain's victory over Scotland on Tuesday and reported back with
slight pain in the tendon in his left knee. At the Ciutat Esportiva Jona Gamper he underwent a
series of exams and the blow is not thought to be as serious as was at first reported.
Barça's medical team believe that Villa should be able to recover in time to be given the
green light to face his former club Valencia on Saturday.
Recovery work
Villa used the Wednesday training session to do some recovery work and is expected
to work with the rest of the squad on Thursday.
