Barça’s co-ordinator for the area of professional football Narcís Julià reckons the tie against Bilbao will be “attractive, both for the teams involved and the two sets of fans”.
Julià told Barça TV: “it’ll be a complicated tie. Bilbao are a difficult opponent and
playing the second leg at San Mames even more so”.
“Not easy”
“It’ll be a typical Cup tie between two teams who’ve won this
competition the most times. For the fans it’s a really attractive match up and not easy for
either side”, added Julià.
Focus on the task in hand
Julià refused to be drawn as to the draw’s separation of Barça and Madrid,
which means that they can only meet in the final: “that’s something for the press and
the fans to speculate about, but knowing our team and our backroom staff, they’ll just be
focussed on the immediate task in hand”.
