After his team’s 4-1 defeat in Granada on Saturday, Barça B coach Luis Enrique Martínez admitted: “there was only one team on the pitch. All we can do is look to the next game”.
Luis Enrique offered no excuses after the team’s
fourth defeat of the campaign and acknowledged: “we failed to overcome Granada in any important
phase of the game - there was only one team on the pitch and Granada were the better team right
from the start”.
Against the run of play
Luis Enrique
explained: “we went in front early on, but that was against the run of play and what was
happening on the pitch. We were unable to bring the ball out as we wanted to and couldn’t
move the ball around to create danger – really we never looked able to stand up to them at
any moment”.
Praise for Granada
For the coach, “Granada are the best team we’ve faced in this league so far. The
stadium was full and the fans were really behind them. If they always play like that, then they
must be one of the favourites to go up. I’d like to congratulate them, they were better than
us in every phase of play and they are the team who have most limited our ability to get into a
game”.
Look to the next game
Luis Enrique concluded: “all we can do now is prepare for the next game”, which
will be on Friday a the Mini Estadi against Recreativo de Huelva, who were relegated from the top
flight at the end of the 2008/09 season.

Geijo
The hero of the game for the hosts has to be Alexandre Geijo who scored all four goals for his team
to take his tally to 11 for the season, but Luis Enrique didn’t put it all down to the
hosts’ striker: “if you are not particularly sharp one day, then many of the chances
the other team make, result in you making mistakes and that just means the game is even more
one-sided”.
