Barça B manager Luis Enrique Martínez has said that despite going 2-0 down, the reserves managed to control the game and was therefore proud of his team.
“I am going away happy, very happy”, said Luis Enrique after the game with Albacete
(2-2)
. “Although we went 2-0 down, the team managed to carry the weight of the game and
had a chance all the way”.
Deserved three points
He added that “I am proud of what my team did, and turned a
result around like in
Seville
, even though it was very difficult to last Wednesday’s game [with Betis] … I
am going away thinking we deserved the three points”.
Good reaction
On the performance at the Carlos Belmonte, the Barça B manager confessed “losing 2-0 we
knew we would still have a chance of scoring and that’s what happened … the first was
hard to score, but we controlled the game from then on and had infinite chances.”
Work ethic
The Asturian went on to say that “I am pleased with my players
and for how they played as a team … We wore Albacete down in a great game and the players
that came on as refreshments [V.Vázquez, Edu Oriol and Saúl] did very well, because they offered
something decisive, but they had to carry on the good work done by the other three [Tello, Riverola
and Romeu] earlier in the game”.
Team performance
Asked whether it was maturity that caused the team to turn around two games they were losing
2-0, Luis Enrique said “we made a series of mistakes and we need to put a stop to these, we
are working in training on key playing areas … The sure thing is that we have a lot of good
players and each of them are contributing different things”.
