A well earned point (0-0)

Barça Atlètic have drawn away once again, this time 0-0 at Dènia, the seventh away draw for the side coached by Luís Enrique. Both sides squandered their few chances, and the game leaves Barça three points short of the promotion zone.
Barça Atlètic started well, but could only create goalscoring chances on isolated occasions. The
real chances didn’t start coming until the end of the half.
Three good chances
That was then Barça’s reserves could have scored no fewer than three times. Benja and
Jeffren tried from outside the area, but none of the efforts found the target.
And then in a set play from a corner, Barça Atlètic’s Rueda headed the cross, and was
narrowly thwarted by the home keeper.
Rueda off
Luís Enrique then had to shuffle his pack when Rueda went off with stomach trouble in the
41st minute. Thiago was sent on to cover for the unexpected loss.
Defensive second half
The second half was lacking in goal mouth action. Neither side created any major danger, and
although most of the possession belonged to Barça they managed to do very little of consequence
with it. In fact, the only real shot of the entire second 45 minutes was a fairly timid strike from
Jeffren.
