Iago Falqué has left Brça Atlètico to sign for Juventus B team after spendng the last seven seasons rising through the ranks of the youth system at Camp Nou.
The youngster has put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal with La Vecchia Signora after his move from
the Blaugrana. The Spanish midfielder will play in Juve's second team, which in Italy is known as
the Primavera side.
Financial gains
Barça could earn up to €2.5m should a series of performance
related payments be met by the player, including if Falqué makes a certain number of first team
appearance and also plays in the Champions League. The Blaugrana will also retain 25 per cent of
the players rights for the next four seasons and would be entitled to a quarter of any transfer fee
should move again during that time.
Rising star
After moving to FC Barcelona in the 2001-02 campaign, Falqué played under coach Sergio Lobera
and alongside Bojan Krkic for much of his time at the club. Both began to rise through the ranks
until making their debuts with the Juvenil A side in 2005-06-

While Bojan stepped up to join Barça B a season later, Falqué remained in the Juvenil A team
and only began to train with the B side under Luis Enrique in pre-season. But after a few weeks he
opted to take up Juve's offer and moved to Italy.
