Barça Atlètic lose close fought encounter (1-0)

A goal by Lanzarote in the 70th minute settled the derby between Sant Andreu and Barça Atlètic. Barça deserved to get at least a point out of the match and almost equalised in stoppage time.
The third clash between Sant Andreu and Barça in seven days was won by Sant Andreu. Like the
previous matches it was evenly balanced throughout with few chances. Lanzarote’s goal deep
into the second half was enough to hand Barça their second League defeat, even though they almost
pulled level in injury time.
Mutual respect
The best chance in the first half came right at
the beginning of the game. In the second minute Edu Oriol drove in from the right and
Lanzarote’s effort was heading into the back of the net until Botia cleared the ball off the
line. Other than that the first 45 minutes were evenly balanced with both teams treating the other
with a great deal of respect.
Two efforts by Nolito (21st and 42nd minutes) were Barça Atlètic’s best opportunities
in the first half.
Lanzarote strikes
The second half was a bit more entertaining and the first shot on target came from Nolito who
tested Morales with a cross shot in the 56th minute. But Sant Andreu were also looking dangerous
and Lanzarote put them ahead when he stuck home a rebound from a narrow angle after a Miño save
(70th min).

At 1-0 down Barça went looking for the equaliser but only managed to breach Sant
Andreu’s well-ordered defence once. In stoppage time Abraham was through on Morales but the
