Barça Atlètic have dropped their first points of the season at the Miniestadi, losing to Dènia by the odd goal in three.
Barça controlled the early throes of the game, and in the
eighth minute Goran Maric came frustratingly close to scoring from a header. Dènia barely created
any danger for goalkeeper Miño, but the face of the game changed after 26 minutes when the referee
showed a red card to Víctor Sánchez for handling the ball in the area and pointed at the spot. Miño
saved the penalty but two minutes later Denia went ahead, and the home side failed to find any kind
of reaction as the half drew to a close.
