Another point won (1-1)
Roger Bogunyà
Barça Atlètic earned a point from their trip to local rivals Terrassa thanks to a goal from Maric in the opening period. The hosts levelled after the break in what was an entertaining encounter.
Both sides had chances and enjoyed their share of possession, but there were few clear-cut
opportunities as both defences held out. But the Blaugrana found the way to goal in the 32nd minute
when Maric steered home a free-kick.
Terrassa came back and managed to find an equaliser to earn a share of the spoil, but Barça
maintained their unbeaten record and made it seven points won from the last available nine.
Maric opens the scoring
The start of the game saw both teams probing each to see how
the game would be played out and it was in the 13th minute that Barça created their first decent
chance when Córcoles tested the opposition keeper. The visitors’ next chance saw them take
the lead when Maric launched his free-kick goalwards from 30 yard sout and saw it fly in off the
woodwork.
The equaliser
Despite the goal, the game remained calm and without many
clear chance sat either end until just before the break when Terrassa’s Jordi Martínez saw
his effort cannon back off the post.
The hosts came out for the second half looking more determined and were able to level when
Curto cut in from the left and scored. Barça had been given no time to settle when the goal came
and it left them having to start from square one.
Points shared
There was no reaction from the Blaugrana immediately and Jordi Martínez actually went closest
to adding the scoreline for the home team in the 73rd minute. That did inspire Barça, but they were
unable to find a way through again and had to settle for a point.
