www.fcbarcelona.cat
Barça Atlétic moved into second place in the table after Jonathan Soriano scored twice to give them an impressive win against leaders Sant Andreu.
After tasting defeat last weekend against Denia the Blaugrana bounced
back on Satudray to record a morale-boosting victory in the Miniestadi against a strong visiting
outfit who have impressed throughout this season.
Luis Enrique's team found their rhythm quickly and created several chances in an entertaining
encounter that saw both teams give everything to try and win.
Soriano had opportunities to open his account after the first goal came, while Sant Andreu
also went close to keep Miño in the Barça goal on his toes.
Soriano brace
The deadlock was broken in only the fifth minute met a pass from Sergi
Roberto to slot home and allow his side to relax and begin to play with the confidence and ability
that they know they possess.
With 27 minutes on the clock Barça doubled their advantage when Miño cleared a corner at one
end and Soriano raced up field before slotting home having combined well to create the break with
Nolito.
It was not until second-half injury time that the visitors were rewarded for their efforts as
Marcos netted to reduce the arrears, but it proved to be only a consolation.
