After a run of three games without a victory, Barca Atlètic won an intense game at Gramanet with Elvis and Benja on target for the team, who only began to suffer when Oscar scored an 88th minute goal for the hosts.
Early chances
It was a well balanced first half, though Barca Atlètic had the better of the
chances with both Soriano on 10 minutes and Espasandín on 33 both hitting the woodwork, whilst
Benja was just unable to round off a sweeping counter a minute later.
Goals either side of the break
Barca continued to press and got their reward at just the right moment when Soriano helped on
a Rueda corner for Elvis to head home three minutes before the break. Just a minute after the
break, Benja made it two rounding off a great team move by latching onto a pinpoint pass from Sergi
Roberto to fire home.
Hosts hit back
Rueda came close to making it three on 57 minutes, but Grama fought back and put
the visitors under pressure in the last 20 minutes when keeper Rubén Miño showed his worth with a
couple of fine saves from Pedro. There was nothing he could about Grama’s goal on 88 minutes
though, as Oscar gave the hosts a glimmer of hope they tried hard to build on in the closing
minutes, though it was Barc who had the best chance through a counter that Sergi Roberto nearly
finished off.
