Barca Atlètic chalked up their sixth win on the trot with 2-1 win at the Mini Estadi on Wednesday night, which takes them up into the play off spots.
Barca Atlètic and Alicante gave the fans at the Mini Estadi an
entertaining first 45 minutes as both teams went for goal. Two chances for Nolito and Jonathan
Soriano were the clearest for Barca, with the visitors also coming close with opportunities for
Iron and Postiga.
Barca came out the stronger after the break and on 54 minutes midfielder
Thiago Alcántara put them one up heading in a cross from Montoya. Alicante weren't giving up yet
though and they came back at the hosts, first with a Postigo shot against the post and then with
the equaliser from the same player on 73 minutes. Luis Enrique's team had the last word though,
with Soriano rounding off a magnificent run from Gai Assulin to make it 2-1 and take the points.
