Draw in Lugo (1-1)
www.fcbarcelona.cat
FC Barcelona drew 1-1 at Azkar Lugo, a place they have never won at, with the point keeping them n fifth spot in the league with five games left in the regular phase.
Given that the team were without Fernandao, Ari and Chico, whilst PC was not fully fit either, the
result was not at all bad for Barca who in a close game, came back from a first half goal to
equalise through Javi Rodriguez in the second.
A De Bail goal on 10 minutes put the locals ahead, but could have been much better, for Marc
Carmona’s team had they not missed three clear chances.
A game of two halves!
If the first half had been Lugo’s, then Barca certainly took the
second, equalising with a Javi Rodriguez penalty after youngster Juanito, who played for 12
minutes, had been fouled. Although Lugo switched to six outfield players towards the end, Barca
withstood the pressure and Carlos Muñoz could have won them the game, but for a post and a handball
outside the box that led to a red card for the Lugo player late on.
