Disappointment in derby (2-1)
Sònia de Alba
Despite going ahead from a goal from PC towards the end of the first half, Héctor Albadalejo and Albert Segura turned the score round for Santa Coloma in the second.
Illusive goals
Barça is going through an impasse. The goals are simply not coming,
even though they are very effective at creating chances. Marfil Santa Coloma were more effective at
making the most of their chances during the derby. The Blaugranas didn’t give up though,
fighting till the end for a victory, even though by then they were missing some key players.
One up at half time
In the first half, despite their continuing injury problems, Barça were tight at the back and
managed to block Marfil’s most dangerous moments. They were able to put Marfil under some
pressure, with Saad being particularly active. It was Saad who set up PC to score Barça’s
only goal in the 18th minute, and Barça hung on to this lead for the rest of the first half.
Marfil turns the game round
Barça continued to play well in the second half, but Héctor Albadalejo
made it all square with just two minutes to go. In the dying seconds of the game, Albert Segura
made it 2-1 in a Santa Coloma counter-attack. With this result, Barça have 25 points from 14 games.
