FC Barcelona's fútbol sala team have won the Copa Catalunya for the third consecutive season after they beat Marfil Santa Coloma at the weekend in a highly-entertaining encounter.
In a game that appeared to be more like a frenetic play-off meeting rather than a pre-season
affair, the Blaugrana were able to claim some silverware despite the absence of star player
Fernandao.
Wilde thing
After several chances were misseed by Barça the breakthrough came in
the 11th minute when Wilde capped a great individual move by beating the keeper. Jordi Torras had a
hand in the opener too as he found the Brazilian with a concise pass.
Wilde could have added a second soon after, but instead it was Marfil Santa Coloma who found
the net with an equaliser as Rafa scored.
The second continued in the same way with both teams showing their
quality, but it was Barça who added their second and third of the night through Wilde and this time
there was no way back for their opponents.
