Barça ease to third league win (5-1)

FC Barcelona recorded their third victory of the season and maintained their push for the top as they beat Playas Castellón thanks to goals from Wilde, Jordi Torras, Javi Rodríguez, Igor and Eric Martel.

In the last game before the first break of the season the Blaugrana turned don the style and we unstoppable as they received a standing ovation from their fans at the end.

Early goal

A bright start laid the foundations for a strong display and a goal inside the first minute ensured that Playas were on the backfoot almost immediately. After a very early miss, Wilde ensured that there would be no repeat when he beat the keeper to give the hosts the lead.

Cristian made to impressive stops to maintain the advantage and he was rewarded at the other end when Torras seized on a chance top ut Barça two ahead with just four minutes gone. By the tenth minute the game was all but won as the home team’s dominance was reinforced with a third goal by Javi Rodríguez.

Playas did pull a goal back after the break, but by then Igor had already added a fourth for FC Barcelona. A fifth was always in the offing and in minute 40 it came when Martel came off the bench to net.
